No Painting Time
I must make time for painting. I bet I haven't spent 3 hours in my studio all week. I just seem to fritter the time away when I am home and should be in the studio. Maybe I just needed a break, but it is a bit unusual. I need to focus. I did watch an interesting DVD called Acrylics: Textures, Layers and Metallics, by Jacqueline Sullivan. I just need to get into the studio and try the new techniques I learned about.

Shoreline Center Gallery
I forgot to mention that I also have a show up at Shoreline Center Gallery, and it will be up until February 27. Stop by to see it if you have a chance. The address is 18560 1st ave NE in Shoreline.
Show At Sunset Bay Gallery
I attended a show last night that was comprised of work by the seven artists who belong to the Experimentals Painters Group that meets at my studio. It was a great show, and I enjoyed it more than any show I have seen in a long time. I intend to go back and do some buying. It was too much fun last night to actually decide what I wanted to buy. There will be another reception on the evening of February 14, so you can still come. Get your sweetie to bring you and buy you something for Valentine's Day. There may be tango lessons as well.

Time
I am still struggling with how to get the things on my blog that I want on there. I just don't get back to it often enough. I am struggling with how to use my time. It seems like I am constantly busy, but when I look at my schedule, except for health related appointments (of which there are a lot) I am only spending my time on things that I want to do. It is hard to cut down on your commitments when they are all things you like. I suppose trying to start a blog is not a wise thing to do when you are trying to cut back on things that take up your time! I also find more and more art related things that I want to try, and I tend to fight them off so that I won't fritter away my time. However, perhaps those are the things I really want to do. If I want to take a class on precious metal jewelry making, maybe I should do it and cut back on the time I spend painting. It is time to figure this out.
