When I am supposed to be getting ready for the Edmonds Art Studio Tour, what do I do? I start three new large paintings that I will have to find somewhere to put during the tour, because they will not be done.
Here are some of the new paintings you will see if you come to the Edmonds Art Studio Tour next Saturday and Sunday. Go to www.edmondsartstudiotour.com for a map and information on participating artists.
I work primarily with acrylic on canvas, board or watercolor paper. My style is loose and very colorful. I consider myself an experimental painter and often incorporate elements such as ink, graphite, paper, beads, clay and whatever else I happen across. Whether I am painting a landscape, still life or abstract, the subject is simply a vehicle for the color and stroke. I work from my imagination and go wherever the painting takes me,working on several paintings simultaneously. I call my work Joyful Art because creating it brings me such joy.
