This is an encaustic piece I just donated for a drawing that will take place at the Edmonds Arts Festival Preview Party. For more information on this event, go to www.edmondsartsfestival.com.
I work primarily with acrylic on canvas, board or watercolor paper. My style is loose and very colorful. I consider myself an experimental painter and often incorporate elements such as ink, graphite, paper, beads, clay and whatever else I happen across. Whether I am painting a landscape, still life or abstract, the subject is simply a vehicle for the color and stroke. I work from my imagination and go wherever the painting takes me,working on several paintings simultaneously. I call my work Joyful Art because creating it brings me such joy.
Yay! Love it!
